Friday, October 23rd, 2009

For all you out there in the Twilight Fandom I’ve got some exciting news.  Tto celebrate the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon movie, Volvo is giving away two tickets to the world premiere in Los Angeles on November 16, 2009 to one very lucky fan.  To enter just click on over to WhatDrivesEdward.com and sign up.  As some of you may know, I have recently become a Volvo lover and owner just like Mr. Edward Cullen.  Thank you very much.  I’ve signed up and I’m ready to win….how ’bout you?

Not to mention, by entering to win tickets to the New Moon premier, you’re automatically entered into the What Drives Edward contest, which begins November 1 and runs through November 23, where you could win a brand-new Volvo XC60, just like Edward’s in New Moon. I mean just look at this thing, IT’S GORGEOUS!  It’s also the same color as my sweet little S40 R-type. Even if I were to win this sweet ride I am 100% Team Jacob.

The Underdog

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Okay, so I have been reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I am currently on the third book, Eclipse, and right now…I am holding strong on Team Jacob. The storyline in the books portray Jacob as the best friend who is hopelessly in love with the main character Bella.

Don’t get me wrong Edward, the vampire Bella is in love with, is an amazing guy too. It’s just that I adore the innocently deep love Jacob, Bella’s best friend, offers her. As my husband will tell you…I for some reason have a soft spot for the underdog in many situations…sporting events, TV shows, movies, and now books about Vampires & Werewolves. It also helps that the person who plays Jacob Black, Taylor Lautner, in the movie Twilight is a cutie. And for the sequel, New Moon, Jacob (a.k.a. – Taylor) has really bulked up! Yea!!!

I’m not a huge reader, but I feel sometime that my literacy is slipping away. So, occasionally I will pick up a good book and immerse myself in the story. My friend Sarah turned me on to the Twilight series, thanks Sarah, and I loved the 1st book so much I decided to continue with the other 3 books.

I’m not one for the way overly graphic romance novels, so I stay away from those. But these books have a magnificent mixture of a love story, action, history, and myth.
