Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow
Ya know, being a SAHM mom has it’s perks. You get to wear your PJ’s to work, you have a really hot boss, lunch is always free, and your co-worker couldn’t be more precious. But it does come with it’s drawbacks. NO SNOW DAYS! Down here in the south a snow day is a BIG day. In Memphis we are privileged to no more than 2-3 days of snow a year. If that many. So, when the white stuff falls it’s always a thrill, because many companies close for the day. Not the House of Mom. Momma’s gotta keep on truckin’. To make matters worse Derek doesn’t get of work when it snows. He works for a hospital and hospitals don’t take days off. Boo.
Since it was Gray’s 1st snow EVER! you know I had to take pictures. This is a task that would have been quite a bit easier with Derek at home, but I managed. I dragged my congested and sleep deprived butt out of bed, layered the kid up and headed out into the snow. Since he’s not quite sitting up yet out came the Bumbo.
To keep my little guy warm I layered him, because he doesn’t have a winter coat. He’s a baby people…in the south. I put him in a long sleeve onesie, a pair of baby legs, socks and boots. Then I threw on the thickest outfit he owned. He looked like a tick ready to PoP! Who knew baby legs could be used as long johns?
I can’t wait til next year when he can actually play in the snow.
Look at those baby blues…

He actually reached out and played with the snow on the side of his Bumbo.

He even threw his 1st snowball. Well, not really. But he enjoyed looking at it.

[...] Enjoying the 1st snow of the year with my chunky little fella. It just so happened to be his 1st snow EVER. He loved every moment of the cold [...]
He is too cute! Glad he liked the snow…hopefully he’ll get more of it soon!
