The iPad has arrived!  Bahm, Bahm, Bahm, Baaaaahhhhmmmmm!

Derek was giddy with excitement during our lunch today as he followed the live blogging from the Apple event.  Just as we got our order of lemon pepper shrimp Derek got the news he was waiting for…the announcement of the iPad.   I of course was excited about the food.  A pregnant girl has gotta eat.

The iPad has been working the tech world rumor mill for months now.  I would say it is a cross between a MacBook Pro and and iPod Touch, but with greater capabilities.  Sorry you Chatty Cathys…it doesn’t have a phone on this bad boy, but you can access the iTunes app store, and play around with some pretty sweet new features.  The iPad starts around $499 and leaps as high as $829.  The data plan seems not too shabby itself.  You can get an unlimited data plan for only $30.00 (w/out having to sign a contract with AT&T).  How ’bout them apples?

I don’t think I will be picking on up just yet.  I mean my MacBook Pro isn’t even a year old yet.  Three more weeks should do it.
